although again, it is only 1 or so a day, so this is very inconsistent. The feature was also already present on Google’s alternative email app, Inbox, as well as one of its messaging apps, Allo. I have found no consistency with the emails that won't delete other than it seems to be confined to emails that I have deleted from either my iPad or Windows computer. This resolves the issue, but is enormously frustrating as I have literally thousands of archived emails Eventually IĪccumulate so many emails that I can't delete (and which crowd my inbox) I have to delete my account, and go through the set up process all over again. I have been having this problem for several months.
When you try to delete it you get an error message that it is 'unable to move the mail to trash'. For some reason random emails will not be able to be deletedįrom my iPhone and there is no way to get them out of the inbox. Since I also use Outlook on my Windows computer, I am accessing my account often, and I receive probably 30 or so emails per day. Only one or two emails that I receive in a day will have this issue. Sync settings are the same on both devices. I also use the built-in Mail app on my iPad (also iOS 10.2.1) as well. Hi - I am using the built-in Mail app on my iPhone (iOS 10.2.1).
